What do you do? I'm just am mom. Just a mom you say, the toughest job in every way. The biggest challenge of each new day, is not to worry and simply pray. Why can't we fix each little thing? Why can't we mend every broken wing?
The toughest part of being just mom, is learning to let go once they are gone. Trials and triumphs are theirs to make, all we can do is pray that too many chances they do not take.
Don't worry they say when you ask what's wrong, how do we do that when we have done it for so long. We want their life to perfect, with no challenges to face. As just a mom we know that that isn't the case.
It's the lessons they learn along the way, never knowing what will make a good or bad day. Trusting in God that He has them in his hands, after all they were a gift to me to take care of...that is His plan.
Just a mom is a pretty big thing. We have to help build a foundation, love and nurture and everything else in between. We hurt when they hurt, we smile when they laugh. It is with a full heart each day we pray for their path.
Will I ever let go of wanting to make things right, of taking care of every little challenge every little plight? Not a chance, there's just no way...but I will try to worry less and more will I pray.
