The Gift of Joy

A Holiday Filled With Joy....Day 6

We can bring the most joy into our lives by giving it to others. This holiday season, take the time to remember friends and loved ones. Remember, the simplest things mean the most. A smile or a hug, a shared cup of cocoa, or a phone call just to say hello.

Here's a few ides to share your holiday joy...

When visiting friends for the holidays, slip an ornament on their tree and attach a small gift tag. What a surprise they will have when they are taking down their tree.

Adopt a family in need. Contact your local church or food pantry for a list of names. Help them with food and gifts...anonymously if you like.

Gift certificates for your time are great gift ideas for those people that have everything. Babysitting, home cooked meals or a coupon for a lunch date are all sure to be popular gifts of time and love.

Don't forget your family...Coupons for kitchen duty, dates nights and cleaning your room without and argument are all ideas sure to bring a smile.

Promises, promises! Try filling a stocking with little slips of paper full of promises. These will be more meaningful (and less fattening) than candy!

"Let us make Christmas one long, extended gift of ourselves to others. Unselfishly. Without announcement, or obligation, or reservation....With Joy and Love!"
