Candy...Real Quick

A Holiday Filled with Joy...Day 21

There are not many days left...what happens when you forget to buy something or you need a quick gift to take to a friend, neighbor or someone that drops by.

I have the perfect, easy recipe for you to have that perfect, yummy gift on hand.  I have to give credit to my friend Kelly who made the candy for us. I had to get the recipe. It is Rocky Road...and it is great!

All you need is some colored paper plate, some cellophane or clear cookie bags and some festive ribbon...to put together a pretty gift from the heart.

Rocky Road

1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips
1 bag butterscotch chips
1 cup chunky peanut butter
1 tablespoon butter
1 package mini marshmallows

Grease a 9x 13 pan or line with plastic wrap. Combine butter, chocolate and butterscotch chips and peanut butter in a saucepan. Melt slowly over low heat. Stir constantly. When melted, remove from heat and add marshmallows. Pour into pan and spread evenly. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Invert onto cutting board and cut into desired size.

That is all there is to it. I usually make several batches at a time. It always goes over really well and people ask for the recipe. I hope you enjoy!
