He Belongs on the Tree

A Holiday Filled With Joy....Day 4

He's cute and he belongs on our Christmas Tree. Why is it every morning he is on the floor? Does he not like his place on the tree. The tree is filled with snowmen ornaments. Maybe he feels a little overwhelmed. He is the biggest ornament on the tree, so he shouldn't be intimidated...hmmm.

It's Lilly!  Lilly has taken to this particular ornament. Somewhere during the wee hours of the night, she knocks him off of the tree. It doesn't matter where I replace him, high or low, front or back...he ends up on the floor.

Lilly, as you may know, is our kitten. I guess she should be called a cat by now. She is about seven months old and she is full of it. By "it", I mean she is full of everything...energy, mischief, etc.

We have only had one other cat in our married life and she was never interested in the Christmas Tree.  I had a suspicion it would be a concern with Lilly since she is in a tree outside everyday. When we brought the tree in she thought we were doing it just for her, so she wouldn't have to go outside in the cold to climb a tree. 

I have seen her lunge from the back of the couch into to the tree!  She has be disciplined...by the way disciplining a cat doesn't work very well! She just seems to have this LARGE interest in the tree in our house over the trees outside. She now knows that if she acts uninterested in the tree during the day...she has the nighttime when we are asleep to do her thing!

I guess I should be glad I only wake up in the morning to the snowman ornament on the ground...and not the whole tree!
