We have established a lot of routine and tradition as a family. It is comfortable and familiar. Sadly, I sense the time when those traditions will change.
This is the third year our son has been home from college for the holidays. We have a routine when it is time for him to go back to school. As a family, we go to Reno, the kids shop with their Christmas money, we have a nice dinner and we stay the night.
We get up the next morning and go to
The airport. Then he is off to school again.
One more year of this routine...and things will most likely change. Our daughter will be leaving for college next year and a new routine and tradition will start.
These traditions have provided us with many memories. We have a lot to laugh about, some great family jokes and moments we will never forget.
I have a hard time when things change, but I look forward to the things to come.
