Anyone who has followed my blog knows that I have always said I would like to just drive places without a plan. Well, we got to do that this weekend...sort of.
While at a basketball tournament with a lot of free time, we were able to see a lot of things we had never seen before. We woke up at the hotel on Saturday morning and my husband said let's go do something. I was wondering what exactly we were going to do since we were in a fairly small town.
I had a few tips from someone that was from the area, so we decided to go with that. It was a beautiful day, perfect for a drive with no real destination. We explored roads that we had never been on before and saw some of the neatest countryside. A highlight was some of the old bridges. Amazing!
We drove out to the little town of Callahan and stopped at the only store in town, The Callahan Emporium. Not to be surprised we met the owner and had a great conversation with her.
We saw ranches far as they eye could see, we saw historic homes...most of all we had a great time...without a plan!
