If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies. ~Author Unknown
It's a new year and I am going to approach my blog a little different. I want to keep it fresh, appeal to everyone and continue to focus on the "Blue Skies" around us. Each day will feature a quote at the end of my post. I will also include my focus or challenge of the day.
Additionally I will add a little extra...
Monday will link or post a favorite recipe
Tuesday will feature a craft or hobby
Wednesday will have a picture of the day
Thursday will be trivia
Friday will be about fun
Saturday is the day for sports
Sunday is scripture
Let's get started!
Google It!
How many restaurants does Guy Fieri own? How tall is that quarterback? Who is in Stateville Prison on One Live to Live? Is there an Olive Garden close?
These are just a few of the things I have "Googled" lately.
Any information you need is right at your fingertips, literally. You don't even have to wait to get home to your computer, look it up on your phone!
Times have changed. Does anyone remember what an encyclopedia is? Or how to use the Dewey Decimal system? Back in the day we had to look things up in the library or encyclopedia. We couldn't get answers in an instant.
It is amazing to me how available information is. I admittedly Google silly stuff. The things that could be classified in the "who cares" department. Then there is the information that is really important to know "right now". Like when someone is sick or hurt and you need some quick information. When you are struggling with a new crochet stitch and you need a quick tutorial. When your family requests a certain food and you need the recipe immediately. What do you do? "Google it!"
I am not sure I would want to go back to the encyclopedia days...but I do think the younger generation should experience finding information in that method...at least once!
Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift.

Monday's Recipe...
CHOCOLATE ECLAIR DESSERT
1 large package instant vanilla pudding
1 tub cool whip, 3 cups milk, graham crackers
1 container chocolate frosting
Whisk together pudding and milk, gently fold in Cool Whip.
Layer whole graham crackers in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan (cover bottom of pan). Pour half of the pudding mixture on the graham crackers. Add another layer of graham crackers. Pour remaining half of pudding mixture over second layer of graham crackers. Top with a final layer of graham crackers.
Heat chocolate frosting in microwave about 20-30 seconds to slightly thin.
Frost top layer of graham crackers.
Refrigerate at least 4 hours, over night is best.
