Chalk Another One Up for Zach!

Zach was born in our community and we all have watched him grow up.  He left for a while and lived in a bigger town.  His parents made the decision to bring him back to our small community and put him in school here.  He has been mainstreamed ever since. Zach is a smart, funny and caring young man.  He has never let his situation affect anything he wants to do.  He has been raised right along side all of the other kids and has never been told he can't do something.
Zach has been in FFA, he raised a pig and showed it at the county fair.  Zach played soccer as a youngster, but only because he wasn't old enough to play football yet.  Zach played basketball and definitely knows where the 3-point line is. Zach played football, in fact Zach has 2 career touchdowns, one as a JV and one as a Varsity. Zach has made the honor roll, he was a four year academic letter earner.
That was all history in Zach's book...He made history again last night...Zach won the Beauty Contest in the Inter-Mountain Fair Destruction Derby!  Not only did he win by a landslide, he also participated in the mini car portion of the derby.  This young man never stops amazing me and everyone else in our community.
Zach is not afraid to try anything.  If he wants to do something, he has the support of his friends and family.  Zach gives it 100% has has the best time in the process. He is always positive, always smiling and always having fun.  Most importantly, he is always living life and always believes he can accomplish whatever he sets out to do.
We can learn a lot from Zach!  Congratulations on a great night!

  1. Oh my gosh Val, thankyou for the wonderful write-up on Zach ... he makes me proud to be his Mom every day - but it just makes my heart swell with pride every time I read or hear how he touches others' lives as well. Our family could not have raised him to be the person he is today, without the help of families and friends such as yours and the community he has been in ... we are so blessed!
