What do you see? Yellow and black? Granules? With such a narrow view do you really know what you are looking at?
This is a close up of a bee smothered in pollen. You see his eye and the center of his face covered with granules of yellow pollen.
I saw this concept in a movie and it really struck me...Perspective. What is your perspective? When we look at things with narrow, close up vision, it is sometimes hard to gain a proper perspective. It is hard to see what we are really looking at.
Perspective is defined as a mental view or outlook. Simply, it is the way we look at or perceive things. A person's perspective can be changed by looking at a situation from a broader glance. It often means taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture.
If you are stuck and not sure of how to handle a certain situation and your are looking at it head on, up close...try pulling back a bit and looking at the situation in a bigger context. You will probably gain a new perspective....you will not just see a black and yellow image...you will see a bee collecting pollen to make sweet honey.
A penny will hide the biggest star in the Universe if you hold it close enough to your eye. ~Samuel Grafton
